Tasks

-Preparation of computer assisted design and construction drawings of a complex nature with neatness and a minimum of errors. -Coordinate design development to meet project schedules. -Perform design services requiring a full understanding of drawings, specifications, and industry and company standards covering the assigned work. -Gather equipment information in the field for design using a variety of tools including IKE Office, Katapult and a Hastings Stick. -Transfer field notes to a structural design and contribute to the preparation of cost estimates, specifications, evaluation, and requisitions. -Analyze system processes and offer improvements based on client requirements. -Achieve weekly billable goal as defined by the project guidelines. -Preparation of field notes and design using a variety of data collection tools including SPIDAcalc and other client tools. -Provide training and technical support for other distribution design classifications. -Serve as the contact to support proactive communication between the client and TRC. -Design and prepare independently, construction orders related to overhead, underground facilities associated with electric distribution systems applying prescribed standards, guides, specifications, and procedures. -Preparation of engineering calculations (pole loading, guying, transformer sizing, conductor loading / sagging, load studies, voltage studies). -Lead teams of other distribution designer personnel.
