Tasks

-Implement advanced cost planning methodologies to optimize resource allocation and budgeting -Utilize analytical tools and techniques to monitor project costs and identify deviation from budgets -Provide expert guidance on cost risks and opportunities throughout the project lifecycle -Lead and overview the cost planning processes for city assets, ensuring that they are aligned with project goals and timelines -Mentor and develop junior staff in cost planning methodologies and practices -Manage relationships with external cost consultants, ensuring high-quality outputs and adherence to project specifications -Participate in stakeholder meetings to present cost reports and updates, fostering transparency and informed decision-making -Collaborate closely with project managers, architects, and engineers to create comprehensive cost plans that support design objectives

What You Bring

-Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with diverse project teams and stakeholders -Strong background in client-side project management or quantity surveying is preferred -Excellent analytical skills and proficiency in cost estimation software and tools -Professional qualifications such as RICS, AIQS, or similar are highly desirable -A proven track record of leading cost planning efforts with demonstrated results in financial efficiency -Minimum of 7+ years of relevant experience in cost planning, specifically focusing on large-scale infrastructure or city development projects
