Lead Exelon's external communications, media relations, social media, and stakeholder engagement.

Tasks
-Responsible for measuring effectiveness of communications programs, providing oversight and ensuring execution of programs. -Managing relationships with other internal stakeholders and outside vendors to develop full service communications programs in support of company goals. -Oversee a staff of six, including four senior managers and two specialists. -Develop and manage integrated and innovative social media campaigns focusing on customers and external stakeholders. (10%) -Develop and implement external communications strategy. Individual must work closely with senior executive team and other directors across business units. -Develop and manage proactive communications and media outreach efforts to communicate company goals to external stakeholders, including customers, elected officials, regulators and media (40%) -Work collaboratively with directors of marketing and employee communications to ensure full integration of communications tactics across department. -Partner with internal and external stakeholders to develop and execute campaigns and initiatives aligned with company goals. (30%) -Direct staff of six, including hiring, talent development, performance management and recognition (10%)

What You Bring
-In lieu of degree, 15-20 years of relevant experience -A highly strategic thinker who is self confident and appropriately aggressive, characterized by such traits as straightforwardness, flexibility, a sense of urgency and at home in a fast paced, deadline driven environment -Multiple locations posting. Selected candidate can reside in IL, DC, DE, MD, or PA Exelon Corporate locations** -Ability to synthesize and communicate complex issues to various stakeholders -Individual must possess exceptional communications and interpersonal skills. -Known ability to influence public opinion through leadership, credibility and clear message delivery. -5 years in a leadership role -Individual must possess exceptional communications and interpersonal skills -A high level of thought leadership is required. -Project management expert, ability to meet deadlines, establish clear priorities quickly and bring projects to completion on time and within budget -An intuitive and highly strategic thinker; exceptional experience leading a team of people; can engender support and trust from a team and lead through influence -Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism or related field -Strong intellectual capacity; a quick learner. -At least 12 years of relevant experience in a fast-paced, dynamic and technical organization -A proven track record of working effectively under pressure and handling a heavy workload
