Overview

Manage and lead proposal submissions and business development for Aecon's Civil East projects.

Tasks

-Review and develop a detailed understanding of client proposal/bid requirements -Provide robust tracking and monitoring of assigned/identified pursuits, including through keeping CRM updated -Train, mentor, and develop non-management proposal team -Schedule and lead proposal/bid meetings -Participate in and report on industry forums, conferences, and prospective client meetings -Oversee and manage assigned Proposal Coordinators to complete proposal/bid submissions -Conduct intermittent research and analysis of industry trends to help identify market opportunities and prepare formal executive overviews and reports -Support additional content development, including with corporate Subject Matter Experts and site personnel -Ensure you and your family receive the services needed to support your mental, emotional, and physical well-being. -Operate in a deadline driven environment -Manage assigned project pursuit schedules and ensure adequate resources are assigned -Develop proposal/bid calendars and responsibility matrices -Package and deliver final bid submissions on time -Attend pre-bid meetings and post-bid debrief meetings and summarize results and lessons learned, and report back to the project team -Coordinate with Aecon’s internal graphic design team to develop critical proposal material, including: JV logos, identity guidelines and overall graphical imagery of the proposal/bid submissions -Organize team reviews on behalf of the project team -Manage Aecon submission responses when an Aecon JV partner is the pursuit lead -Provide regular proposal/bid pursuit status reports -Perform compliance checks on all submittal documents -Lead major proposal pursuits where Aecon is the lead partner in a joint venture (JV) partnership -Collaborate with the Civil East Team to deliver on Business Development strategies and objectives -Manage and coordinate input from other partners and internal stakeholders -Create proposal/bid templates, resume templates, project sheet templates -Prepare, write, edit, and format proposal/bid sections, resumes, and project sheets in preparation for proposal/bid close-out -Participate in pursuit capture planning and drive win-theme strategy development for individual opportunities -Responsible for the management and oversight of Aecon’s formal submissions in response to RFQs, RFPs, EOIs, and Market Sounding proposals

What You Bring

-Strong analytical & problem solving skills -Minimum of 5 years of experience with major proposal submissions in the construction industry -Advanced communication skills (Oral and Written) -Proficiency in Adobe InDesign an asset -Ability to gather, synthesize, and effectively present technical information for a range of audiences -Strong market knowledge -Strong organizational skills; attention to detail -Ability to work collaboratively and effectively in teams -Excellent time management skills with the ability to plan, manage, and prioritize multiple assignments and tasks -Availability to work a minimum of 3 days per week in-office out of our Charlotte, N.C location -Experience working in a fast-paced and performance-driven setting -Proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Sharepoint) -Demonstrated leadership and accountability with strong interpersonal skills -Minimum bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Construction -Strong decision-making skills
