The Role

Overview

Lead concrete crews, manage site tasks, ensure specs, safety, and equipment.

Tasks

-Inspect work progress, equipment, and construction sites to ensure specifications are being met. -Document daily personnel, production, and operational data. -Assist workers on-site with construction activities, using hand tools and other equipment. -Use measuring and marking equipment to locate, measure, and mark site locations and/or the placement of structures and equipment. -Lead crews and participate in all phases of construction, including coordinating and scheduling projects on a daily basis. -Review project details to ensure that appropriate materials, tools, and equipment are brought to each job. -Interpret blueprints and specifications to determine construction requirements and plan procedures.

What You Bring

-Proficiency in operating a skid steer, mini excavator, and dump truck. -Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. -Physical stamina for long periods of stooping, bending, standing, and lifting. -Ability to handle recurring situations in a calm, positive manner. -Ability to travel to and from the office and job sites. -Capability to load materials, tools, and equipment onto the company truck for each job. -Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. -Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division) in all units of measurement, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. -Ability to determine the tools and equipment needed to do the job. -Ability to work effectively with other employees, supervisors, and other company personnel. -Minimum of 5 years' experience as a concrete foreman -Ability to work independently under written direction. -Ability to convey information effectively. -Knowledgeable in Maintenance of Traffic operations. -Comfort working under active road scenarios. -Expertise in pouring multiple types of curb. -High School diploma or equivalent -Must possess a current driver’s license. -Ability to adhere to safety guidelines. -Ability to handle standard problems or conflicts independently. -Experience with concrete saws, finishers, bull floats, trowels, etc.
