Assist in designing, testing, installing automation systems as an entry-level engineer.

Tasks

-Evaluate, select, and apply standard control techniques and procedures to perform engineering assignments. -Participate in project meetings and provide regular updates on project progress -Installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of automation systems -Development and testing of automation software -Creation of technical sales demonstrations -Participate in product inventories and managing department equipment -Develop documentation and user manuals for automation systems -Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards -Collaborate with other application engineers to design automation systems -Begin as a trainee within B&R trainee program to learn what B&R has to offer in both hardware and software solutions.

What You Bring

-Preferred: knowledge of PC or PLC programming, familiarity with robotic systems and real-time operating systems, understanding of electrical/mechanical systems and familiarity with Jira -Familiarity with programming and coding IDEs such as Visual Basic or Visual Studio -Candidate must possess work authorization to work permanently in the United States without sponsorship -Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and attention to detail -Strong communication and teamwork skills; ability to take initiative independently and to work on a team -Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies -Proficiency in programming languages like Python, Java, Structured Text, Ladder, C, C++ -Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics or similar) required -Availability to work outside of standard business hours for system installation and/or support and up to 25% domestic travel, largely within the region.
