Tasks

-Identifies the customers, both internally and externally. -Follows through on commitments made to internal and external customers. -Performs assigned work efficiently and effectively to maximize person productivity. -Initiates development of personal objectives aligned with those of the organization. -Performs intermediate calculations under the supervision of a more senior engineer. Solves problems using well established scientific principles. -Performs quality checks of the design in a team environment to ensure accuracy. -Handles various assignments, including rework, in timely manner to meet schedule deadlines. -Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies. -Under general supervision, analyze structures using various structural engineering software programs. Design buildings and building foundations, equipment platforms and foundations, pipe racks, and miscellaneous concrete and steel structures Prepares quantities, cost estimates, and other supporting documentation for projects -Receives limited instruction on routine work and detailed instruction on new assignment from more experienced engineer. -Carries out assignments carefully while focused on details. -Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Work overtime and weekends as required. -Serves as point of contact for external or internal customers. -Utilize codes and standards to complete assignments.

-Able to manage multiple responsibilities with set expectations and meet deadlines. -Communicates effectively orally and in writing. Present ideas clearly and in professional manner. -Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment. -Regular, reliable attendance -2-4 years' minimum relevant experience in Nuclear, Power Generation, or Industrial preferred, but other experience will be considered. -Knowledgeable in engineering software, such as Staad Pro, SAP2000, SAFE, RISA, spMats, and Mathcad. -Supports project teams and departments in a positive and productive manner. Works well with other to accomplish common goals and objectives. -Has good understanding of the complete design and has good input into ways of improving the design. -Work productively and meet deadlines timely -Familiar with latest national and design codes such as IBC, ASCE, ACI and AISC. -Adjusts to varying demands of work and performs well. -Engineering in Training certificate (EIT) or Professional Engineer ( PE). -Proactive about learning new information and skills. -Ability to draw conclusions and present finding to senior leadership. -Able to analyze data and understands the relationships and correlations. -Seeks feedback and uses it effectively. -Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (structural emphasis) or architectural engineering minimum required.
