Pole Engineering QC Engineer

Overview

Ensures pole projects meet standards, manages QC, permits, and contractor coordination.

Tasks

-Oversees the applications submissions by our contract partners to the correct pole entities -Keep track of all upcoming, submitted, and completed work -Coordinate with the Permitting and Project Managers to understand priorities and standards for pole projects -Identify and interpret errors with contractor work that does not coincide with pole owner/company-established standards -Review and verify contractor invoices for accuracy and submittal to AP for payment -Escalate issues to management in a timely fashion -Locate appropriate poles and midspans needed for pole projects -Identify and interpret Railroad and Highway crossings -Participate in contractor meetings and trainings -Generate KMZ’s (Google Earth) for contractor invoicing and projects

What You Bring

-Working knowledge of IKE, Katapult, and O’Calc is desired -Detail-oriented with exceptional team-building skills -Strong organizational and prioritization skills -Good written & verbal communication skills -Previous project management experience is a plus -Strong initiative and ability to follow direction -Good knowledge of Aerial Pole Attachment fielding and engineering is required -Has strong computer skills, with emphasis using Microsoft Excel
