Tasks

-Coordinate with other industry team members to resolve issues affecting student training. -Develop and conduct enrichment program as assigned. -Provide students with CTT instruction in a designated area of instruction. -Dealing with a variety of people in a professional, courteous manner in diversified situations. -Promote student attainment of career success standards through modeling appropriate skills, mentoring students, monitoring skill acquisition, and intervening when inappropriate behavior is observed. -Communicate with people daily by telephone, e-mail, and in person. -Maintain accountability of students and property. Adhere to safety practices. -Control use of supplies, materials, and equipment. Recommend purchases. -They work closely with students and other office staff. -Teach, model, and evaluate student employability skills. -The employee is occasionally required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. -Administer and correct tests. Maintain progress and attendance reports. -Transport students for training purposes as needed. -Participate in student performance evaluations. Prepare required documentation and evaluations. -Monitor student progress in the program by ensuring compliance with established Data Integrity guidelines. This includes the accurate and timely reporting of student progress and skill acquisition on Training Achievement Records (TARs), auditing of active and terminated TARs, other documentation sensitive to Data Integrity policies. -Timely completion and accuracy of all departmental work. -Assist in developing community linkages and partnerships. -Develop and prepare lessons. Recommend curricula changes and supplemental materials. -Completing all mandated training requirements per government and management directives. -Access and training students to use computers and applicable software. -Cultivate and maintain a climate on Center which is free of harassment, intimidation, and disrespect. Provide a safe place for staff and students to work and learn.

What You Bring

-Completed a course in teaching adults, or have experience in teaching adults, or supervising nurses’ aides. -Ability to develop rapport and positive working relationships with all departments -Certified Licensed Registered Nurse. -Compliance with company standard operating procedures and personnel policies and procedures. -Successfully pass background check and drug test. -State of Mississippi teaching credential or industry-recognized certification. -Work somewhat close to other people, such as when sharing office space. -Motivate and counsel students in areas of behavior, training, and/or study habits. -Adherence to established company safety policies and ability to work in a safe manner, using any required personal protective equipment (PPE) as may be required. -Valid driver’s license, with an acceptable driving record. -Two (2) years’ experience in the practice of nursing; one (1) of which must be in long-term care facility services. -Strong analytical skills to interpret and manage data. -The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. -Ability to effectively communicate and present information to students, management and line staff, corporate and DOL personnel and public groups. -This position requires the employee to be able to frequently required to sit, stand, walk and talk or hear. -Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. -Previous Job Corps experience in an academic/instruction capacity. -Timely and cost effective performance of duties.
