Overview

Operate equipment for golf course maintenance and construction.

Tasks

-Operates all types of turfgrass management equipment including utility vehicles, reel and rotary movers, flymos, mechanical bunker rakes, aerifiers, sprayers, turf vacs, skid steers, and sprayers. -Lays and hand waters sod, installs plant material and mulch. -Assists in construction of new greens, tees and fairways. -Cleans drains and culverts. -Performs renovations and construction work, i.e. shoveling and raking. -Excavates and back fills ditches and trenches with hand tools. -Performs cleaning procedures and manual labor tasks. -Sweeps cart paths. -Cultivates and waters trees and plants. -Participates in annual over-seeding of the golf course. -Performs hand trimming and detail work on various areas of the golf course.

What You Bring

-Ability to work in a team environment. -Knowledge of hydraulic powered machine operation. -Ability to meet the physical demands of the position including, but not limited to, working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions, standing, walking, and moving for periods of greater than eight (8) hours, and lifting and carrying items sometimes greater than fifty (50) pounds. -Ability to stay calm and focused during the busiest of times. -Prior experience working on a golf course maintenance team is preferred. -High School Diploma or equivalent. -Valid Drivers License. -Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to deliver service to members, guests, and team members. -Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English; additional languages preferred. -Knowledge of large and small engine operation. -Must be able to work flexible work hours/schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Long hours may be required due to business demands.
