AR Specialist [A1]

Overview

Process customer payments, collect balances, and resolve payment discrepancies.

Tasks

-Adjust incorrect payments from counter sales -Maintain relationships with customers while collecting payments -Occasionally, will move about inside the office to access files, office machinery, etc. -Post all checks, deposits, and Received on Account payments in a timely manner -Pull and post payments from Lockbox -Post customer payments by recording cash, checks, credit card transactions daily, and payments from online portal -Assist with any projects and tasks required by the Credit department

What You Bring

-1-3 years of related work experience preferred -Must be able to receive and analyze financial information -Must be able to operate basic office machinery -Excellent verbal and written communication skills -Ability to self-manage, show initiative, and solve problems -Must be able to demonstrate a high degree of sound judgement -Must be able to process customer payments, financial documents, etc. -Proficient Microsoft Office Skills -Must be able to multitask -High school diploma or GED required -Must be able to communicate with team and management and be able to exchange accurate information in these situations -Must be able to manage stress depending on tasks and deadlines -Demonstrate knowledge of general accounting policy and procedures -Must be a team player, possess good organizational and analytical skills, and demonstrate high integrity and attention to detail -Must be able to remain in a stationary position 80%
