The Role
Overview
Perform complex concrete and finish carpentry tasks, supervise team, ensure quality.

Tasks
-Placement of concrete with bucket, chute, pump and placement procedures, agitation etc. -Adheres to JE Dunn safety standards. -Coordinates with foreman on upcoming work and durations. -Placement of rebar according to plans and specs -Teaches and trains the team to perform scope of work to the highest quality standard. -Responsible for completing JE Dunn reports and pre-task planning. -Leads by example, providing proper guidance and instruction to team. -Performs advanced placement and finishing of concrete flatwork -Installation of safety railings, floor openings and general safety items. -Coordinates and implements safety procedures for tasks. -Performs layout activities as it relates to the specific task -Cleans and maintains concrete and forming tools. -Installation of in-wall and roof blocking/general carpentry. -Responsible for Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) compliance and following OSHA standards. -Assists in the installation of doors, frames & hardware. -Installation of PT accessories, cables, chairs, reinforcing, blocking, etc. -Sets forms for concrete including but not limited to foundations, SOG, bulkheads. -Responsible for material forecasting for specific task. -Erects temporary partitions and doors. -Quality installation of doors, hardware and accessories

What You Bring
-Demonstrates excellent expertise within concrete and/or finished carpentry. -Basic acceptable finishing of concrete with floats and trowels (columns/walls/foundations). -Ability to complete assigned duties with minimal guidance -Knowledge of all carpentry hand tools, use and own all required hand tools and pouches -Ability to build relationships and collaborate within a team, both internally and externally -Basic understanding and use of principles of layout and construction math as necessary per project needs. -Must be comfortable working at projected heights, narrow workspaces, various depths (trenches) -May require use of respirator -Communicates absence or tardiness with supervisor as early as possible -5+ years commercial construction experience (Preferred) -High School Diploma or GED (Preferred) -Reads and understands project plans within applicable scope of work. -Ability to perform work accurately and completely, and in a timely manner -Autonomy and Decision-Making: Follows directions and refers all exceptions to supervisor. -Must be able to lift at least to 50 pounds -Occasional activity: Sitting, Viewing Computer Screen -Knowledge of specific trades and scopes of work -Finish Carpentry Specialty: -Working knowledge of all concrete tools and carpentry hand tools. -Must have reliable transportation -Proficiency with the basic elements of framing or forming. -Quality installation all types of running trim and wood paneling -Effective Communication skills, verbal and written -Knowledge of all concrete tools and how they work -Basic understanding of principles of layout and construction math -Concrete Carpentry Specialty: -Identifies, understands, and applies construction details as it relates to finish carpentry -In lieu of the above requirements, equivalent relevant experience will be considered. -Knowledge of setting forms for concrete (Foundations / SOG / Bulkheads) -Identifies and understands construction details as it relates to concrete carpentry -Frequent activity: Standing, Walking, Climbing, Bending, Kneeling, Carrying, Swinging, Reaching above Shoulder, Pushing, Pulling, Balancing -Applies advanced understanding of formwork systems and installation (columns / walls) -Ability to provide excellent customer service -Quality installation of casework and countertops -5+ years experience in specific trade (Required) -Apprentice and/or Vocational/Technical/Trade training (Preferred) -Must be willing to work non-traditional hours to meet project needs
