Tasks

-Mentor and train direct reports to support professional growth -Coordinate onboarding and integration into Wipfli’s accounting platform, including initial financial review and client meetings -Review management reports and key performance indicators -Manage a remote accounting team, including scope of work, job time budgets, and job profitability as an Outsourced Franchise Client Controller -Provide general advisory services to clients through scheduled remote meetings, focusing on interpretation and use of financial statements -Provide technical accounting assistance to clients and internal team -Advise clients on process improvements and internal controls within their accounting departments -Oversee U.S. and international client accounting teams to ensure timely and accurate deliverables -Research and share best practices relevant to each client’s business concerns -Serve as the direct point of contact and partner with clients to maintain and foster relationships within the franchise industry -Ensure accuracy of financial reporting for clients and internal teams -Learn and operate applicable technology, including various accounting software platforms -Prepare financial data for loan covenants, if applicable

What You Bring

-Experience in the franchise or retail industries preferred but not required -Ability to quickly embrace, adapt and learn new technology -Proven ability to manage relationships -Previous public accounting experience preferred, e.g. audit, outsourced accounting -Experience with Microsoft Business Central, Intacct and/or NetSuite preferred but not required -Previous experience with cost accounting, inventory valuation reporting and financial forecasting preferred -Bachelor’s degree in business (with accounting courses taken) accounting or finance required -Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience -Ability to travel annually 5-10% that includes, client visits, team meetings and conferences -Professional certification (e.g.,CPA, CMA, MBA) preferred but not required -5+ years of advanced, hands-on full cycle accounting experience including financial statement preparation for multiple entities
