Entry Level CAD Technician

Overview

Create 2D/3D CAD designs for industrial mechanical, electrical, and structural projects.

Tasks

-Evaluate and resolve problems by reviewing multiple sources of information and coordinating design criteria with other designers and engineers -Coordinate with lead engineer or designer to develop 3D and 2D design drawings for the mechanical, electrical, and structural disciplines -Coordinate with lead engineer or designer to develop 2D general arrangement drawings for industrial facilities

What You Bring

-Knowledge of computer aided drafting software -Ability to travel (estimated travel time is 10%) -Proficient in the use of REVIT, Plant 3D, Navisworks, and AutoCAD -Working knowledge of other 3D design software such as Inventor, SOLIDWORKS, etc. -Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills -Ability to perform field/site visits -Technical associate degree or high school diploma and equivalent experience on heavy industrial and manufacturing type projects -Familiar with using Microsoft Suite including MS Word, Outlook, and Excel -0 - 2 years of experience -Ability to work with engineers and senior designers to develop mechanical, electrical, and structural designs in 3D and 2D
