Tasks

-Oversee and assist with the development and production of highway plans and specifications from start to finish for Illinois clients -Coach, mentor and develop staff -Lead and manage a transportation design team, providing mentorship and technical guidance -Work on billable projects for a majority of your time. Initially, this will likely include IL 38 phase II plans, IL 251 phase I/II, and final design for five Illinois Tollway plaza -Assure that Quality Assurance/Quality Control is being performed on every project -Maintain / grow positive client relationships and assist with business development efforts to continue expansion of our transportation project portfolio

What You Bring

-Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) in Illinois is required -A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience designing highway/roadway projects which includes 5 years of managing multiple design teams performing the work -Robust organization and communication skills as required to create / execute project plans and respond to client requirements -Bachelor's degree or higher in Civil Engineering -Technical background and experience managing projects for transportation agencies (IDOT, CDOT, Tollway, or transit/rail agencies) that utilize Bentely Microstation, OpenRoads or other transportation related software packages -Excellent time management and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail and quality -Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills, with the ability to motivate and mentor a team
