  • Liaise with engineers regarding design development work and task related to construction, conduct site visits and execute or plan strategies.
  • Develop engineering design scope, estimates, proposals, change orders.
  • Wiring Drawings
  • Prepare plans, layouts and designs with supporting calculations for specifications, and delegate drafting to assist in the production of detailed drawings, the development of tools, quantities, materials lists and cost estimates as required.
  • Participate in the planning of resources and project manhour estimates as required Good technical, team and interpersonal skills. Mentors/trains and support training and skill development of design team members and perform annual evaluations.
  • Participate in multidiscipline engineering reviews, project meetings, vendor meetings and coordination.
  • Safety – Responsible for personal safety safe working practices for the Oil & Gas. Understand and follow OH&S procedures.
  • Participate in HAZOP, PHA, HIPS, SIS, SIL, Value engineering, Constructability, Model Review, Lesson learned workshops.
  • Coordinate engineering studies, and review packages. Works to resolve inter-discipline inconsistencies and coordinate with team members to ensure design is safe and environmentally friendly.
  • Quality Assurance – Responsible for working within the provisions and guidelines of the Quality Assurance system relevant to the Oil & Gas Business Unit.
  • Check and plans, designs, materials purchased and equipment for conformity with project specifications.

  • Saudi Aramco Offshore Project experience is a preferred prerequisite.
  • SISs, preferable Triconex.
  • Being able to work with multiple and concurrently small and medium projects.
  • Knowledge and experience working with instrumentation & control systems such as process instrumentation, DCS, RTU, SCADA, Fire & Gas, ESD Systems & Valves.
  • Competent use of relevant software such as MS Office Suite
  • DCS, preferable Honeywell TDC/TPS/Experion
  • Offshore experience is must.
  • In-depth knowledge and hands-on strong experience with Smart Plant Instrumentation, Smart Plant Review of SP3D, PDS/PDMS and MicroStation.
  • Tertiary qualifications, experience with a particular focus on offshore Oil & Gas production complex and wellhead platforms. Incumbents receive regular but not detailed supervision.
  • Working knowledge (design/implementation) of Communication Networks is a plus.
  • PLCs, preferable Emerson & Yokogawa RTU
  • Working knowledge (design/configuration/implementation) of any of the following systems:
  • Working knowledge of Instrumentation & Control deliverables such as:
  • Motor Control Schematics
  • Working knowledge of industry standards and codes related to Instrumentation & Control system deliverables.
  • Working knowledge of SmartPlant Instrumentation (SPI) software.
  • Proficient in development of Instrument wiring and loop drawings along with Instrument hook up details & detailed MTO
  • Working knowledge of Computer-Aided Design software.
