Tasks

-Selection of standard and specialty pipe supports. -Provide direction and oversight to Piping Designers on new projects. -Load calculations for utility systems. -Execute utility studies concerning the capacities, energy usage and recommendations for existing operating facilities. -Sizing and selection of major utility equipment including Chillers, Cooling Towers, Air Compressors, Air Receivers, Boilers, Deaerators and Feed Water Systems. -Provide input in the Sequence of Operations for the control of Utility Equipment.

What You Bring

-BSME and active PE registration is required (SC preferred), as well as 10+ years of relevant design experience. Experience with CAESAR II, E3D and AutoCAD is preferred. -The ideal candidate will be comfortable leading teams in a multidiscipline design environment, directing designers, and supporting construction and field operations as required. -The Mechanical Engineer will be subject to jobsite conditions, and therefore should be able to cope with and withstand these conditions. -Familiarity with industry standards and regulations, such as ASME and ANSI codes, is also crucial for ensuring compliance and safety in design projects. -Thorough knowledge of stress analysis for steam and hot oil piping. -This role may require occasional overnight travel to client locations based on project requirements. -Candidates must have professional writing, presentation, and communication skills, and the ability to develop client relationships.
