Tasks

-Identifying resources needed and effectively delegating staff duties and responsibilities -Champion relationships with key clients, including KDOT and/or MoDOT -Represent Benesch at industry and professional engagement events -Serve as the primary interface between the clients and staff for a given project -Mentor junior staff -Coordinate, monitor, and review work performed by sub‐consultants -Contribute to Kansas Division strategic growth initiatives -Create and execute project work plans including developing project scope, schedule and budget estimates -Networking, including active participation in and leadership of professional organizations -Create and Execute project work plans -Promote the team environment and communication and identify and address team conflicts -Manage project teams, accountable for budget and schedule -Serve as project manager on bridge and transportation design projects

What You Bring

-BS in Civil Engineering or related discipline -Registered Engineer in Kansas and/or Missouri -Experience with bridge inspection, including completed NHI training a plus -Practice good time management skills, demonstrating the ability to work efficiently within time constraints while dealing with numerous concurrent activities -Minimum of 7+ years of bridge design experience including project management responsibility preferred -Willingness to travel to project/work sites as necessary -Excellent communication and client relation skills -Proven experience on KDOT or MoDOT bridge projects preferred -Ability to identify opportunities and lead strategic project pursuits -Strong understanding and familiarity with steel/concrete design software -Seller/Doer mentality, client interaction experience a plus -A track record of adhering to design budgets and project schedules
