Overview

Tasks
-Managing tenancy related debt matters -Build positive working relationships with colleagues, stakeholders, and community members. -Work with customers who have experienced significant life challenges or trauma -Provide housing solutions for vulnerable people experiencing a range of social and economic hardship -Resolving disputes and concerns involving public housing tenancies -Conduct home visits for vulnerable and complex tenants

What You Bring
-Demonstrated understanding of the cultural requirements and specific housing issues that impact on tenancy outcomes for Aboriginal people and people with a disability. -Valid Australian Driver’s Licence which must be maintained. -Demonstrated ability to clarify situations, act impartially, influence and negotiate to effectively mediate conflict, diffuse challenging situations, and devise solutions. -Good problem-solving skills and the confidence to make decisions independently -Proven ability to handle complex and sensitive assessments with care and empathy -Strong skills in managing competing demands and prioritising your workload -Demonstrated ability to prioritise workload and manage competing demands to achieve performance measures. -DHS Working with Children Check (renewed every 5 years). -Demonstrated experience in identifying and responding to risk and vulnerability through assessments, support, advocacy, and appropriate referrals. -Satisfactory National Police Clearance. -Experience in delivering community or human services -Proficient in using digital technology and customer information systems to deliver efficient service -Competence in efficiently using digital technology, including mobility devices, customer information systems and cloud-based software applications. -Qualifications in Community Service, Social Science or Human Services are a plus but not essential
