Multi Skilled Operative

Overview

Perform multi‑trade repairs, damp/mould remediation and maintenance in social housing.

Tasks

-Carrying out patch plastering and making good, damaged walls or ceilings -Completing wall and floor tiling repairs, including grouting and sealing -Painting and decorating to a professional finish following repair works -Manage daily workload efficiently to meet service level targets -Installing and adjusting kitchen units, worktops, and cupboard doors -Perform plastering and tiling work, including mastic sealant application to baths and wet room fixtures. -Undertake internal painting and decorating tasks, focusing on areas affected by mould or damp, ensuring a high-quality finish. -Identifying and fixing minor plumbing issues such as leaks, dripping taps, and blocked sinks -Ensuring all repairs are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard -Participating in out-of-hours emergency repair rota as required -Carry out day-to-day responsive repairs across social housing properties -Carry out mould remediation work, including surface cleaning, mould treatment application, and ensuring the treated areas are safe and effective. -Replacing or repairing skirting boards, architraves, and internal door frames -Reporting any further works, safeguarding concerns, or property issues beyond scope -Deliver excellent customer service while working in residents' homes -Accurately record job details, materials used, and completion notes using handheld devices or job sheets -Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicle in good working order -Repairing or replacing internal doors, handles, locks, and hinges -Identify and treat damp and mould issues within residential properties.

What You Bring

-Full UK driving licence -Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills -Excellent customer service skills, with experience working in occupied homes -Willingness to participate in out-of-hours emergency rota -Proven experience in domestic repairs and maintenance across multiple trades (e.g, plastering, tiling, painting & decorating etc.) -Ability to use handheld devices or job management systems to record work -Good understanding of health and safety regulations and safe working practices -Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively -Damp and mould remediation experience
