Tasks

Managing Risk, Delivering Value Your approach will represent T&A’s company values and will provide a personal, quality focused service that delivers upon the clients business objectives. You will establish strong, supportive, professional relationships with colleagues, clients and the wider project teams built on mutual respect, trust and integrity, all whilst contributing to Thomas and Adamson’s strategic business growth. -Preparing formal / informal reports on a regular basis to suit client requirements. -Arranging client approval of Change Requests and issuing instructions as required. -Leading negotiations with contractors to ensure tender costs represent best value. -Managing the design teams/ contractor to ensure all contract requirements are fulfilled -Reviewing and commenting on tender returns from a technical compliance standpoint. -Assisting with preparation of contract appointments. -Producing project correspondence ensuring actions are clearly defined and delivered upon by all project team members within agreed timescales. -Compiling and tracking risk mitigation activities and value engineering opportunities. -Processing Contract Instructions and other contractually mandated procedures. -Preparing Change Requests and seeking costs / fees and any other implications from the project team. -Assessing and reporting on design team / contractor progress and commercial matters during design and delivery. -Monitoring and reporting of project costs and fees. -Ensuring stipulated levels of project governance are established and document management / communications protocols are adhered to. -Formal client board reporting. -Scheduling of project costs and negotiation of professional fees. -Assessing Contractor’s claims for delay events; working with commercial team members to establish entitlement. -Establishing / overseeing / reviewing / approving the work of sub-consultants or directly appointed project team members. -Review and comment on design packages to ensure compliance with project briefs. -Establishing and updating master programmes, identifying project milestones and project team member responsibilities. -Requesting fee proposals and assessing the validity of requests for additional fees. -Leading value engineering and risk review workshops -Recording of all correspondence and project information - Document Management System (DMS) -.Interrogation of construction programmes, agreeing changes or enhancements. -Network and support business development objectives. -Attending client board meetings as required and preparing / collating board reports in advance. -Verification, allocation and processing of invoices. -Defining, liaising with and managing key stakeholders. -Actively participating in the preparation of project tender documents in conjunction with the internal / external Cost Management department ensuring a full and comprehensive understanding of the project requirements is conveyed and reflected. -Producing and issuing consultancy scopes of services and request for proposals and other appointment documents. -Development of Project Management Plans. -Managing and co-ordinating responses to technical queries or requests for information. -Establishing, implementing and leading project meetings with all project team members and stakeholder groups. -Lead and mentor junior staff. -Participate in and deliver professional development and training activities, working continually to further develop your own knowledge and experience.

What You Bring

As an active Senior Project Manager in our project management team you will undertake multiple and complex work assignments, delivering within timeframes and managing resources to provide exemplary professional services to our clients. You will have mechanical and electrical coordination and commissioning experience and ideally exposure to aviation projects and will be as comfortable working autonomously as you will be within a team. You will deliver best in class services for our clients across multiple projects. -Ability to deal with ambiguity and a consummate and organised multi-tasker. -Demonstratable airport / aviation experience highly desirable -An ability to build relationships with, and manage multiple types and levels of internal and external stakeholders often with conflicting priorities. -Decisive and calm under pressure. -Outstanding communications, listening, and presentation skills. -Transparent and accountability orientated. -Demonstratable experience coordinating, delivering and commissioning Mechanical and Electrical projects. -Ability to manage and prioritise multiple, concurrent and conflicting projects and programmes of work. -Emotionally intelligent and able to drive the best outcomes from teams. -Excellent written / reporting skills. -Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS), Members of the Association of Project Managers (MAPM) or equivalent. -Agenda setting / minute taking as well as action tracking. -Energised and adaptive with a strong work ethic.
