Overview

Lead finance & accounting, drive reporting, budgeting, analysis, and controls for Kiewit Infrastructure.

Tasks

-Reviews all estimate cash flows, payment terms, and Joint Venture agreements in detail for financial risks and opportunities -Deliver impactful presentation of goals and progress during strategic business planning sessions -Communicate development goals, constructive feedback, and future opportunities clearly and completely in conversations with all team members -Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies. -Develop accurate budgets, drive accountability, and provide integrated ways to improve cost across the entire organization -Thorough reviews of each project/department projections, reporting, and risks/opportunities -Ensure proper implementation and execution of internal controls to maintain highest level of data integrity -Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Work overtime and weekends as required. -Set aggressive goals and high standards to continuously improve business processes (tools & reports) and targets (projects and overheads) -Earn trust, credibility, and buy in of processes from Operations team to create better cohesion and clear communication within the organization

What You Bring

-Ability to work in Canada without sponsorship, both now and in the future -Regular, reliable attendance -Strong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and accounting practices. -Experience using SAP -Be able to analyze and effectively communicate financial results of the organization to management, including revenue, cost, backlog, overheads, G&A, etc. -Current or prior experience working in an Engineering/Construction organization highly preferred -Travel may be required for this position (up to 25%) -Excellent organizational, time management, and problem solving skills -8+ years of financial/data analysis experience in the critical infrastructure market -Deep knowledge of Microsoft Excel -Excellent communication skills, resourcefulness and initiative -Must be able to freely access all parts of a construction site in wide-ranging climates and environments -Work productively and meet deadlines timely -Strong financial management skills including cash management, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. -Financial or accounting experience in construction or engineering industry -CPA, MBA, or public accounting experience preferred -Ability to work under pressure and consistently achieve required deadlines. -Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, and/or an equivalent degree is required -Very detailed oriented, but also able to see the “big picture”. Ability to think both analytically and creatively. -Ability to lead a team, manage the monthly and annual reporting processes, and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization. -Proven track record of developing or managing a team -Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment -Must be willing to relocate for first assignment location if not local
