Tasks

-Support the development of staff and share technical knowledge across the team. -Provide support to field teams and lead on technically demanding site investigations when required. -Manage projects across core business areas: -Provide input on complex technical challenges and guide project teams through successful delivery. -Lead the planning and design of geophysical surveys, from proposal stage to execution. -Maintain Zetica’s high standards for project quality and delivery. -Ensure data quality and integrity during fieldwork. -Introduce and apply innovative techniques and workflows where appropriate. -Oversee the processing, interpretation, and reporting of high-value geophysical projects. -Ensure technical outputs are clear, data-driven, and aligned with client objectives.

Strategic Thinking Software Skills Are you ready to lead complex, high-impact geophysical projects across the UK and beyond? Zetica is seeking an ambitious Senior Geophysicist to drive innovation, uphold technical excellence, and mentor the next generation of geophysicists. This is a unique position straddling academic excellence and commercial integrity. -Competence in GIS/CAD tools (e.g. AutoCAD, Microstation, ArcGIS, QGIS). -Practical experience with a wide range of geophysical techniques: -Proven ability to lead large-scale and technically complex projects. -Significant hands-on experience in near-surface, high-resolution geophysics. -Proficiency in software such as Oasis Montaj, GeoGiga, SurfSeis, Res2Dinv, Zond, Aarhus Workbench or similar. -Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) -Experience with Python for data processing and automation is highly desirable. -Innovative and forward-looking, with a strong interest in R&D and advancing the discipline of applied geophysics. -Electromagnetics (EM) -Primarily office-based, but may include some travel for project delivery, and to meet customers -Ability to present technical findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. -Strong track record of team leadership and technical delivery. -UXO detection -Electrical methods (e.g. resistivity, induced polarisation) -Strong leadership with excellent written and verbal communication skills. -Seismic methods (e.g. refraction, surface wave analysis) -Postgraduate degree in Geophysics or a closely related field.
