Tasks

-Support the preparation of corporation tax and R&D tax submissions. -Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities across finance functions. -Prepare and post monthly journals, including intercompany recharges and P&L adjustments. -Manage the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy and completeness of all financial information. -Lead the preparation of monthly consolidated departmental reports. -Partner with department heads to develop, review, and refine budgets. -Prepare lead schedules and year-end working papers to support audit requirements. -Prepare and submit Group VAT returns via Sage, including reconciliations and necessary adjustments. -Process payroll journals and review payroll reports for accuracy. -Support BAU activities for EBL’s AP/AR functions, including the maintenance of customer, supplier, and staff data. -Oversee company card and staff expense processes, implementing updates, improvements, and training initiatives. -Review and maintain balance sheet reconciliations and lead schedules. -Produce and analyse management accounts, providing insightful variance analysis and commentary for stakeholders.
