Assistant Resident Engineer - Structural

Overview

Design review and supervise structural construction of bridges, piles, underpasses, etc.

Tasks

-Ensure compliance with ADQCC and ADM standards, project specifications, and engineering best practices. -Lead the review and approval of designs, shop drawings, and construction procedures for structural elements such as bridges, piles, underpasses, girders, MSE walls, and roadworks. -Evaluate and approve method statements, material submissions, and construction techniques to support successful project execution. -Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and multidisciplinary teams to address technical challenges and maintain project progress. -Conduct site inspections, monitor material deliveries, and oversee subcontractor performance to ensure quality and adherence to timelines. -Provide technical guidance, prepare progress reports, and maintain clear communication with stakeholders.

What You Bring

-Strong knowledge of structural analysis, construction processes, and industry standards. -Excellent written and verbal communication skills. -Willingness to relocate to construction site locations as needed. -Analytical and problem-solving abilities to address complex technical challenges. -Proficiency in CAD software and engineering tools. -Minimum 15 years of experience in field construction on large civil/structural projects such as bridges and underpasses. -Leadership experience with the capability to guide less-experienced engineers. -Familiarity with ADQCC and ADM standards preferred. -Collaborative mindset and strong interpersonal skills for managing stakeholder relationships. -Minimum 8 years working experience in the UAE) -Familiarity with construction scheduling, material procurement, and progress reporting. -Bachelor’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering.
