Tasks

Leads in performing advanced troubleshooting and repairs on radiology, imaging, and networked Supervises and monitors external service personnel, ensuring work is necessary, timely, and properly vendor visits, and support for off-site locations. patching, and system updates for medical imaging devices. Ensures activities are properly documented Oversees and performs complex preventative maintenance (PM) procedures on radiology, multimeters, dosimeters, phantoms) to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain complex biomedical systems Collaborates with IT and vendors to manage IP addresses, network configurations, cybersecurity escalates any concerns or failures to leadership. Participates in quality management programs, identifies equipment failure trends, and leads process maintains a clean work environment. Leads efforts to maintain accurate biomedical equipment inventory, ensuring proper documentation end-users to minimize downtime for critical systems. requirements (CMS, TJC). Ensures PM activities are completed within departmental timelines and oversees parts ordering, and communicates repair status to clients and end-users. Maintains a high degree of confidentiality and complies with HIPAA at all times. Leads departmental training initiatives, vendor in-services, and identifies opportunities for advanced systems (PACS, EMR) down to the board, component, or system level. Provides technical guidance, and tracking of devices, including those on placement agreements, loaners, demos, rentals, and research equipment. Oversees equipment disposal processes. Responds to critical service requests promptly, escalating to leadership as needed. Coordinates with Enforces radiation and high-voltage safety protocols. Promotes a professional demeanor and Mentors and provides technical guidance to junior Biomedical Engineers.
