Manage roads infrastructure contracts, capital works, and asset services for Council.
-Provide expert engineering and asset-related guidance to internal and external stakeholders and maintain effective partnerships across agencies and contractors. -Support the development of asset management strategies, service level agreements, and grant funding applications, while monitoring performance and reporting outcomes. -Promote safe work practices, ensure adherence to regulations and Council policies, and contribute to continuous improvement and ethical service delivery. -Develop, manage, and oversee contracts and tender processes for roads infrastructure assets, ensuring compliance and value for money -Coordinate the delivery of capital works programs and assist in the operational management of street lighting, street furniture, and other civil assets.
-Class C Drivers License -Tertiary qualifications (minimum Certificate IV) in Procurement, Project Management, Business or related studies. -Ability to build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships. -Strong verbal and written communication skills. -Demonstrated experience to manage construction contracts, establishing specialized panel of service providers and negotiating best value for money to Council -Strong contract management, negotiation skills, and technical expertise in roads infrastructure. -Minimum ten (10) years’ experience in managing civil engineering/commercial contracts or project/program management.
