Tasks
You will play a vital role in enabling Hadron’s licensing team to operate efficiently—helping to advance the company’s reactor design through the NRC regulatory process and supporting its goal of commercial deployment of safe, scalable, and innovative microreactors. The Licensing Assistant will support Hadron Energy’s Licensing Team in preparing, organizing, and tracking documentation related to the company’s reactor licensing efforts. This individual will help coordinate communications, maintain compliance records, and ensure timely preparation of regulatory submissions and meeting materials. -Work cross-functionally with engineering, legal, and project management teams to gather data and ensure alignment of information for regulatory submissions -Assist with version control, formatting, and QA/QC of official submittals to maintain high professional standards -Assist in the preparation, review, and organization of NRC submittals, technical documents, and regulatory correspondence -Support the creation of presentations, reports, and briefing materials for internal and external stakeholders -Coordinate scheduling, logistics, and documentation for NRC meetings, audits, and public engagements -Monitor submission timelines, track action items, and support compliance with NRC regulatory deadlines -Track and summarize NRC regulatory guidance, notices, and rule changes relevant to Hadron’s licensing activities -Maintain and update internal databases and document control systems for licensing records and regulatory filings -Ensure accurate and timely distribution of controlled documents in accordance with company and NRC requirements -Support the Licensing team in maintaining compliance with NQA-1 and internal quality assurance procedures

What You Bring
This is a full-time on-site role for a Licensing Assistant, based in the San Francisco Bay Area or New York City. The position is ideal for candidates with strong organizational and regulatory support skills who are passionate about advancing next-generation nuclear technology through effective engagement with the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) and other government stakeholders. -Familiarity with NRC regulations (10 CFR Parts 50, 52, 170, and 171) and the licensing process for advanced reactors is a plus -Ability to coordinate across multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines -Excellent written and verbal communication skills -Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in managing complex documentation workflows -Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Regulatory Affairs, Public Policy, or a related field -Understanding of quality assurance and configuration control practices -1–5 years of experience in licensing, document control, or regulatory support, preferably within nuclear energy, defense, or highly regulated industries -Proactive, adaptable, and eager to learn about nuclear licensing and regulatory engagement -Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with document management systems (SharePoint, OpenText, or equivalent)
