Tasks

-Establish & promote a safety culture through active representation -Manage the pursuit of project claims & change orders -Collaborate with Accounting and Finance staff to effectively manage the budgeting & forecasting process -Establish and maintain relationships with key business partners -Effectively oversee subcontract management -Engage project and corporate level contract management to address & resolve contractual issues & claims -Oversee procurement or Buy-out process to ensure it adhere to set budget -Closely monitor & communicate to the Vice President; Project Status/Risks & Opportunities -Sponsor additional revenue strategy including REA’s and claims -Participate in project level staff meetings and all major decisions -Participate in management committee meetings within all assigned joint ventures -Coach and develop staff -Responsible for ensuring the development & use of a CPM schedule throughout the life of the project

What You Bring

-Excellent written and verbal communication skills -Knowledge of regulatory laws and responsibilities -Proven ability to assess, evaluate, and solve problems -Minimum 15 years of heavy civil construction experience -Strong teamwork and leadership skills -Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management or related field -Organizational skills; attention to detail -10+ years on roadway or highway projects
