Provide expert regulatory advice and technical leadership for energy sector emissions

Tasks

-strategic direction, and tools in support regulation of the energy sectors -develop strategy for our sectors and produce the tools to regulate, support development and deliver environmental outcomes -commission and manage external research projects where needed -provide expert support and technical leadership through advice, guidance, and training -work cooperatively as part of a team to achieve common goals -work with internal and external stakeholders such as Defra, DESNZ, internal operations teams, trade associations and other key industry players.

What You Bring

-relevant technical and regulatory knowledge, and experience of the work area for the role in question, gained either by working within and/or regulating relevant processes. This will include knowledge of control measures for emissions to air where relevant -ability to work effectively with people from a variety of backgrounds and cultures and actively encourage others to consider diversity issues in their work -ability to build and maintain good relationships with colleagues, operators, partner regulators, government, trade bodies and academia
