Overview
Manage construction projects on highways, ensuring safety, quality, budget, timelines.

Tasks
-Planning and organising -Maintain accurate records including daily reports, shift briefings, and inspection logs. -Identify and mitigate site risks and hazards. -Provide feedback on project outcomes to relevant stakeholders. -Manage projects, some complex from design handover through to completion. -Attend project progress and health & safety meetings. -Comply with all relevant health and safety legislation including CDM, HSE, Chapter 8, DMRB, and MCHW. -Liaise with other Construction Managers to coordinate supervision and resource levels. -Engage with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure smooth project delivery. -Provide regular updates to the Principal Construction Manager on progress, risks, and design issues. -Use construction solutions that minimise disruption to traffic. -Manual of Contract Documents for Highways Works (MCHW) -Oversee measurement and valuation of work carried out. -Maintain high standards of quality and safety across all sites. -liaise with Commercial & Procurement teams. -Conduct site inspections and implement safety measures. -Produce and maintain project documentation. -Deliver works in line with the client’s programme and budget. -Ensure site supervision staff focus on ‘right first time’ and ‘no delays’. -Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors.

What You Bring
-Commercial awareness and risk management -Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline (preferred) OR extensive highways/structures experience -Valid UK Driving Licence (essential) -CSCS Supervisory Level -ONC Level 3 in Engineering (desirable) -IOSH or SMSTS certification -Strong problem-solving and decision-making -Proven experience in highways/structures maintenance and construction -Experience managing complex projects and high-speed road works
