Tasks
-Report to senior managers on cost data, progress, and assumptions with clarity and impact -Mentoring junior team members -Leading client engagement to ensure delivery to specification and budget, while identifying contract improvements -Issuing payment certificates and valuation assessments -Issuing and reviewing early warning notices -Pricing and assessing compensation events -Updating risk registers and reviewing programmes -Develop and maintain cost accrual and forecast reports -Management of contracts from inception (pre-contract support e.g., tender evaluation) to completion (post-contract support) -Managing contractor and subcontractor accounts

What You Bring
-Ideally HNC, HND or Degree qualified in a Quantity Surveying / Cost Management, Construction Law, or similar / relevant discipline, or in some case applicants with an alternative background (e.g.: Engineering) may be considered. -Operating with NEC form of Contract such as Option A, B, C and E as well as bespoke forms of contract -Broad spectrum of technical knowledge relating to Procurement, Supply Chain, Cost and Commercial Management - ideally both pre and post contract. -Professional qualifications and/or membership of the RICS, CIOB, CICES, CIPS or other relevant Chartered Institute are desirable, and will be supported if not already attained. -Personal and communication skills, ambition, drive and energy will be considered equally important experience and qualifications to be successful. -Relevant experience in Quantity Surveying/Commercial Management, experience in a regulated environment such as Data Centres, Life sciences, Pharmaceutical, Nuclear, Infrastructure or Petrochemical sectors is essential. -Experience of standard forms of contract, including the NEC suite of contracts.
