The Role
Overview
Provide full‑cycle construction planning for tenders, pre‑construction and live projects
Key Responsibilities

Tasks
-Update contract programmes to demonstrate entitlement to EOT, where applicable -Support and develop Junior team members where required -Review documents, specifications and scopes, identifying contract requires and major constraints -Develop Construction, Completion and Mitigation Programmes at relevant stages of the projects, whilst maintaining Contract integrity as required -Ascertain and report progress on pre-construction and live projects, foreseeing potential delays and advising of mitigation measures -Produce detailed fully integrated design, procurement and construction stage Contract Programmes -Identify alternative methodologies/sequences that improve project completion date(s) -Provide full life-cycle planning support to multiple projects; tenders, pre-construction and live projects -Support the Business in claims and/or disputes -Visit sites to ascertain conditions and constraints to be taken into account when preparing tender programmes and method statements -Promote the company at tender and contract interviews, presentations and meetings -Provide detailed tender programmes, method statements and logistics proposals for inclusion in tender submissions -Provide outline plans and methodologies at tender stage -Ensure that the programme content and functionality is compliant with Galliford Try’s Planning Processes and Procedures -Liaise with internal and external key stakeholders and third parties to establish optimum, compliant programmes

-Full UK driving licence (essential) -Working knowledge of both NEC and JCT Contracts (desirable) -Proficiency in Power Project (formerly Asta) – essential -Main Contractor Planning experience (essential) -Defence/Custodial/Healthcare/Education experience (desirable) -Strong written and verbal communication skills (essential)
