Design highway and municipal transportation projects for clients like PennDOT.

Tasks

-As part of a team, perform engineering design tasks for transportation and/or municipal projects including studies, preliminary engineering, and final design. -Establish working relationships and contacts with client technical staff and project managers especially in PennDOT, local governments, and private clients. -Develop construction contract documents including plans, specifications, cost estimates.

What You Bring

-Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook) -Prior experience with Pennsylvania Department of Transportation and/or Pennsylvania Turnpike projects is desirable, but not required. -Fundamentals of Engineering (PE) License registered in Pennsylvania or the ability to obtain within 1 year is required -Learn about different aspects of highway and municipal design including construction staging, stormwater management, traffic signals, highway design and interchange layout, landscaping, utilities, sidewalks/trails, culverts, and bridges. -Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or equivalent is required -Learn about design tools including Microstation and Open Roads software -Knowledge of civil/site design, highway design, stormwater management design, utilities, and permitting is desirable, but not required.

Salary is dependent upon experience and geographic location. -Competitive paid-time-off (PTO) accrual.
