The Role

Overview

Assist in instrumentation and controls design for power generation projects.

Tasks

-Work on design layouts verifying code compliance quality checks meeting project schedules and budget as well as coordination of work with other disciplines as required. -Check manufacture's drawings performing engineering calculations. -Participate in field reviews or construction observation. -Depending on project size job may require supervision of designer and CAD operators. Projects include power industrial and institutional facilities. -Typical design work would deal with power distribution, motor control, lighting, power system analysis and grounding.

What You Bring

-Microsoft Office experience -Knowledgeable of Allen-Bradley, Modicon, Wonderware and/or Interlution. -3.0+ GPA -Familiarity with Piping and Instrument Diagrams, having professional work experience -Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field -Must be able to work among other disciplines and have good communication analytical and organizational skills. -Previous experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm preferred. -Self-motivated, able to work independently and with a project team to completion of a task -May need to travel -Candidate must also display attention to accuracy and be detail orientated. -Experience and/or interest in sustainable design/LEED desired but not required -EIT certification strongly preferred. Candidates hired without their EIT will have the title of "Coordinator" and will be expected to obtain their EIT for career progression
