Overview

Create civil design drawings using CAD software and assist engineers on roadway projects.

Tasks

-Provide assistance to engineers using Autocad Civil 3D to create site plan sets and perform minor design work on site development and utility projects -Prepare minor mathematical calculations and quantity calculations for roadway/bridge projects -Coordinates assignments with project team and supervisor -Provide assistance to engineers using MicroStation/Autocad Civil 3D to create roadway plan sets and perform minor design work on roadway projects -Utilize a CAD workstation to prepare engineering drawings, utilizing theoretical and practical knowledge to aid in the plan preparation for civil design projects

What You Bring

-Valid driver’s license -Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening to ensure a safe and productive work environment. Volkert adheres to federal guidelines, which may include testing for substances such as marijuana. Please note that federal regulations may differ from state-specific guidelines -Degree in Computer Aided Drafting or similar field is a plus -Experience in MicroStation, AutoCAD, InDesign is preferred -Experience will be evaluated if applicant has a degree in Computer Aided Drafting or similar field -A satisfactory motor vehicle report (MVR)
