Overview
Design and draft civil engineering plans and 3D models using Civil 3D.

Tasks
-Lead complex design projects, ensuring high-quality and efficient drafting. -Mentor and provide guidance to junior designers, reviewing their work for accuracy. -Optimize designs for manufacturability, sustainability, and cost-efficiency. -Draft plan view of detailed, and rough grading plans for various clientele, such as commercial and industrial developers. -Prepare industry standard templates for various clients and projects. -Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to align designs with project goals. -Stay up to date with CAD software advancements and suggest improvements in workflows. -Develop detailed technical drawings and 3D models with precision and accuracy. -Generate earthwork models and utilize Civil 3D tools to perform quantity calculations and prepare “heat maps” depicting areas of deep cut and/or fill. -Draft plan and profile views of improvement plans, such as street, storm drain, sewer, water and other underground improvements, using Civil3D features including but not limited to smart labels, corridors, surfaces, and alignments.

What You Bring
-Ability to take initiative, maintain confidentiality and meet deadlines. -Experience in following and enforcing municipal, Stat, and company CAD standards. -Familiarity with BIM (Building Information Modeling) and ArcGIS. -Excellent computer skills and Microsoft 365 experience. -Deep understanding of industry standards, tolerances, and material specifications. -5+ years of professional experience in CAD design, drafting, or modeling. -Additional certifications in CAD software or design principles are a plus. -Experience in leading projects and mentoring junior designers. -Strong problem-solving skills and ability to optimize designs. -Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD Civil3D.
