Tasks

-Prepares detail and layout drawings and sketches of unusual, complex, or original designs requiring the application of theoretical and practical engineering knowledge. -Develops and implements new processes as required to ensure consistent quality. -Interfaces with other Practices, groups, clients, vendors, and project engineers to support project production. -Provides leadership taking a wholistic view of the project and makes independent project level decisions that are trusted by the engineers. Works under broad assignments guided by project scopes, annual operating plans, and practice-level plans. Accomplishments are performed with minimal supervision. -Performs discipline design tasks which regularly require the application of fundamental engineering concept with limited input and direction from the engineer or architect. -Provides direction, assistance, and mentoring to BIM/CAD Technicians and Designers. Ensures project deliverables across the Practice are professional and consistent with prevailing standards, templates, and processes. -Estimate and oversee BIM/CAD workload -Recommend design changes for improvements to the project -Coordinate with team members -Works at the Practice level to ensure control on project models are properly set up, referenced, and maintained. Engage in Continuous Improvement by contributing ideas to improve model set up, standards, templates, and processes. -Create and conduct presentations and training -Produce concise, well-written materials and understand project scopes -May provide conceptual input to projects during the planning stages.

Provides Practice level input. -Proven ability to learn, adapt, and problem solve to produce accurate and quality deliverables -Ability to work with all levels of personnel -11+ years of practice-level experience with a broad base in engineering design and technical engineering support -High School diploma or equivalent -Experience using Bentley’s OpenRoads -Able to overcome obstacles to help a project move along -Able to convert written and verbal information into drawings -Advanced expertise in computer operation and in BIM/CAD software -Knowledge of company, industry, and technical vocabulary -BIM/CAD Associate's Degree or Certification -Experience using Bentley’s ProjectWise
