Tasks

-Review and comment on the accuracy of the construction contractor’s requests for payment -Review and acknowledge daily reports including verification of the project schedule by indicating the activities worked on that day and the activities behind schedule -Monitor submittals utilizing a submittal status log -Oversee and perform three-phase inspections and surveillance of construction work to ensure the work is in accordance with the contract and specifications -Support construction contract modifications -Review and process Requests for Information (RFI), and contract documents including amendments, notices to proceed, change orders, modifications, and other locally generated documents developed during the course of construction -Review of design, comment logging and back-checking for Design-Build projects -Oversee construction management of including on-going construction project and renovations -Perform critical path schedule review -Maintain orderly working files for correspondence, minutes of meetings and conferences, payments, updated progress schedules, monthly progress reports, punch lists, field changes -Review contractor’s Quality Assurance Plan

What You Bring

-Good written communication and organizational skills -Should enjoy working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions -Bachelor of Science Degree; Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Structural or Geotechnical Engineering -Ability to lift 40 pounds -Physically mobile in and around construction sites and field assignments -Experience reading construction plans and specifications -Experience with construction administration and capability of handling large projects -7+ years of engineering and construction management experience -Experience with Resident Management System (RMS), preferred -US Army Corp of Engineering or other federal project experience, preferred
