  • Documentation: Prepare all necessary documentation, including user requirements, system requirements, installation procedures, and asset handover materials.
  • Manage the design, delivery, and performance of major civil infrastructure projects
  • Problem-Solving: Investigate faults, develop solutions, and implement engineering fixes to enhance safety and operations.
  • Safety & Standards: Ensure civil designs conform to enterprise and industry standards, contributing to the production and implementation of new standards and procedures.
  • Design & Auditing: Oversee the design, checking, and auditing of civil systems submitted by the design team or external providers, ensuring they meet industry best practices.
  • Apply your civil engineering expertise across design, standards, and project management
  • Reporting: Provide regular updates to the Project Manager, Program Manager, Senior Management, and other stakeholders as needed.
  • Project Management: Organise and plan the technical aspects of civil projects, including design, preparation of user requirement specifications, and ensuring safety in design for new and altered works.

Aurizon’s Bulk and Containerised Freight business is expanding, and we're seeking an experienced Civil Site Engineer to join our Bulk Terminal Engineering and Planning Team. This role will see you play a key part in the planning, design, and delivery of critical civil infrastructure projects that support our growing freight operations.

  • Technical Expertise: Strong background in design, construction, and maintenance of civil infrastructure with an eye for innovation and efficiency.
  • Commercial Acumen: Experience in managing project budgets, estimates, and schedules.
  • Analytical Thinking: Skilled in identifying issues, developing solutions, and driving continuous improvement.
  • Qualifications: Degree in Civil Engineering (mandatory); Project Management certification desirable.
  • Autonomy: Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver results with minimal supervision.
  • Collaboration: Confident communicator with the ability to engage effectively across engineering, operations, and external stakeholders.
