Overview

Design, program, and commission Siemens PLC/HMI systems for automotive customers.

Tasks

-Troubleshoot and optimize system behavior, ensuring smooth integration of all automation elements. -Support or lead on-site commissioning teams as needed. -Train and hand over systems to customer personnel. -Prepare detailed commissioning documentation and test reports. -Integrate software with electrical and mechanical systems for automotive production equipment. -Participate in acceptance testing and performance verification. -Develop, test, and commission PLC and HMI software for Siemens automation systems (Step 7, TIA Portal, WinCC). -Commission components and complete systems at customer sites, including planning, setup, and execution.

What You Bring

-Experience with industrial networks such as Profinet. -Willingness to travel up to 50% domestically and internationally. -Experience with industrial safety systems (e.g., Sick PLS or equivalent). -CMSE® – Certified Machinery Safety Expert (Pilz) or equivalent certification. -Knowledge of Volkswagen VASS -Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship -Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering. -Familiarity with drives and motion control (Siemens, SEW, Lenze). -Proven expertise with Siemens SIMATIC PLCs and HMIs (Step 7, TIA Portal, WinCC). -5+ years of hands-on experience in industrial automation, preferably within the automotive industry. -Strong background in assembly system programming (conveyors, process equipment).
