The Role

Overview

Assist in planning, designing, and documenting water/wastewater infrastructure projects.

Tasks

-Complete standard engineering computations, material quantity takeoffs, estimates, surveys, and designs for infrastructure projects. -Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders, including suppliers and clients, to ensure project success. -Perform a variety of engineering tasks, including preparing drawings, specifications, and materials suitable for procurement and construction purposes, utilizing CAE/CAD tools as applicable. -Prepare and issue specifications, data sheets, and other construction documents, ensuring compliance with project requirements. -Prepare detailed requisitions for equipment and materials and assist in technical bid analyses for supplier submissions. -Review supplier drawing submittals and provide technical guidance to CAD Designer/Drafters, Designers, and lower-level Engineers working on the same project.

What You Bring

-Willingness to travel or relocate to supplier, client, or construction site locations as needed. -Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Certificate or eligibility to obtain it may be required. -Proficiency in CAD and other PC software packages typically associated with engineering tasks. -Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or related field) and typically 0-3 years of related work experience. -Strong technical knowledge and ability to apply engineering theories and practices to complex infrastructure projects. -Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
