Parts Specialist

Overview

Assist customers, identify parts, process orders, support service department.

Tasks

-Research and identify parts using electronic and paper catalogs, providing accurate estimates and availability information. -Support the Service Department with product pricing and availability requests. -Provide parts recommendations based on technical knowledge and customer needs. -Enter orders into internal and external systems once verified. -Conduct research for purchase order discrepancies, past due items, and suggest corrections. -Greet and assist customers via walk-ins, phone calls, and email inquiries. -Collect and process detailed customer order information, including payments. -Participate in on-call rotation to support after-hours needs. -Monitor backorders daily to ensure prompt receipt and delivery.

What You Bring

-Knowledge of marine, power generation and/or industrial diesel engines. -High school diploma or GED. -Ability to define problems, analyze data, and develop solutions. -Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. -Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook, and online vendor/order systems. -Mechanical aptitude and ability to interpret technical information. -2+ years of parts experience. -Strong customer service and communication skills (in-person, phone, and email). -Ability to calculate discounts, percentages, and other basic figures. -Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail. -Valid driver’s license.
