Overview

Entry-level tech performing field and lab testing of construction materials.

Tasks

-Test materials including soil, concrete, asphalt, masonry, and reinforcing steel to ensure compliance with quality standards. -Cast and label concrete, grout, and masonry field samples for laboratory strength testing. -Document daily field activities and observations in digital reports using a company-provided tablet or laptop. -Perform field observations and on-site sampling/testing of materials used in the construction of buildings, roadways, and bridges. -Support and actively participate in Kleinfelder’s safety culture and Loss Prevention System (LPS) programs. -Pick up and deliver construction material samples to the laboratory and assist with equipment logistics.

What You Bring

-ACI Concrete Field-Testing Technician – Grade I -Strong communication skills, punctuality, and a team-oriented attitude. -Read and interpret basic construction plans and specifications. -Authorization to work in the United States. -Valid driver’s license and clean driving record. -Basic familiarity with technology, including MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and mobile devices. -Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions and on active construction sites. -Ability to bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly, and over 50 lbs with assistance or equipment. -Nuclear Density Gauge Certification -Communicate clearly with contractors, clients, and Kleinfelder team members. -High School Diploma or equivalent. -Other certifications as required by local jurisdictions
