Tasks
Performs installation, inspection, troubleshooting, and maintenance of electrical systems and grounding equipment that support ordnance operations. Uses a variety of tools and test instruments to ensure safe, compliant, and reliable electrical performance in accordance with NAVSEA OP-5 and NAVFAC requirements. -Troubleshoot electrical systems, diagnose faults, and perform load calculations. -Install, maintain, and repair electrical equipment including generators, transformers, switchboards, motors, controllers, and conduit systems. -Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and schematics. -Use standard and specialized electrical tools and test equipment. -Support NAVFAC audits through accurate and organized recordkeeping. -Maintain the installation grounding plan and accurately document all testing results. -Inspect, test, and maintain grounding systems, lightning arrestors, static grounds, and munitions grounding devices.

What You Bring
Additional Requirements for Naval Hospital Worksites (If Assigned) -Ability to obtain and maintain NAVSEA OP-5 explosive certifications. -Must have the ability to accurately document and file ordnance grounding testing results and support NAVFAC audits. -Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record. -Skilled in grounding resistance testing, conduit bending, motor/control repair, AC/DC systems, and transformer work. -Ability to pass background check and drug screening. -TB test within the last 12 months. -Proof of MMR and tetanus immunizations or antibody titers. -Must supply personal hand tools of the trade. -2 years of ordnance grounding experience or equivalent. -Ability to work at heights and meet all physical, safety, and security requirements (including respirator qualification). -4 years of electrical maintenance experience. -U.S. Citizenship required.
