The Role

Overview

Create and detail architectural designs/drawings (Revit) for infrastructure projects.

Tasks

-Apply architectural concepts, building code, and zoning requirements to develop architectural design documents to the satisfaction of the client(s). -Produce architectural designs and drawings in REVIT. -Produce detailed technical drawings to effectively communicate building designs to clients, and contractors. -Participate in contract administration and shop drawing review processes, contributing to the alignment with project specifications and client expectations. -Utilize your knowledge of building technology, assembly, construction methodology, to ensure technical excellence in all projects. -Support project teams, including architects, engineers, and other consultants, on project coordination, as required deliver comprehensive and cohesive project documentation. -Stay current with industry trends and technical innovations, incorporating new ideas, models and technologies into projects. -Contribute to design discussions by formulating and presenting design decisions effectively. -Maintain project documentation and organization of project files, ensuring accuracy and accessibility. -Make sure REVIT and BIM requirements, standards and quality are followed. -Successfully accomplish assigned work within the agreed-upon deadline and budget. -Prepare and review working drawings, ensuring compliance with all applicable codes, including the Ontario Building Code. -Develop photo realistic renderings, animated walkthroughs, and comprehensive 3D models is an asset -Follow sustainable design practices.

What You Bring

-Must have completed or will be completing their Bachelors degree in Architecture or Architectural Technologist Diploma/Certificate in Architectural Technology -Candidate must be a team player dedicated to working hard with an all-hands-on-deck attitude towards completing the work efficiently and accurately. -Sponsorship for Canadian employment authorization is not available for this position. -Demonstrated strong creativity in design -Thorough knowledge of building systems and construction detailing -Ability to work within a dynamic multi-disciplinary in-house consultant team -Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills -Experience with Parametric Modelling, Rhino, Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Hand sketching -Ability to work with various Canadian municipalities for permitting and development approvals process -Proficiency with Revit, Photoshop, Microsoft Word/Excel/Powerpoint -Excellent communication and organizational skills -Strong conceptual and technical design skills -High level of sound and independent judgment and reasoning -Proficiency with Photoshop, Enscape, and Bluebeam -Exceptional technical knowledge of building construction and the Ontario Building Code -Strong presentation skills -Excellent written and verbal communication skills
