Tasks

-Contribute fresh innovative ideas in group meetings and team discussions. -With support from senior consultants, deliver and be accountable for developing static and dynamic models, preparing reports and providing findings and recommendations based on the analysis and data. -Produce visually compelling data insights for high profile clients in a range of sectors and international markets. -Collaborate with a talented and diverse array of problem-solvers, including computational designers, engineers, urban and transport planners, airport planners, security specialists, economists, etc. -Work alongside Project Managers to manage client expectations, carry out site observations and present project outcomes. -Drive the emerging data driven and people centred approach to solve real-world problems that have a direct impact on the efficiency as well as the quality of life within buildings and cities; -Work across several interesting projects from a diverse range of sectors from entertainment and sport venues, museums and cultural venues, transport hubs to city areas and some of the largest crowds in the world -Learn how to deliver top quality crowd flow / people movement consultancy working with our international clients and stakeholders. -Support across a range of sectors developing an understanding of the standards and methods that are applied to different scenarios and the techniques used. -Developing and honing your modelling skills, as well as providing day to day design and management advice to architects and clients.

What You Bring

-Confident using Microsoft Office packages, in particular excel, word and powerpoint -Ability to present and communicate thoughts and technical ideas in an accessible manner. -Interest and/or experience in visual programming to assist modelling (e.g. Grasshopper 3D), -Eagerness to learn and work as part of a specialist team working with a variety of disciplines -Career in cutting edge people flow analysis, simulations and data analytics – backed by Buro Happold’s strong employee-centred personal and professional development -A degree in a relevant subject including but not limited to transport, mathematics, economics, statistics, operational research, geo-spatial analysis, physics, organizational psychology, and engineering. -Experience analysing and interpreting data sets. Ideally related to movement, spatial or (crowd, pedestrian, transport, operations research etc.) but training will be provided -Desirable experience or understanding of GIS software to analyse and visualize geospatial data (ArcGIS, QGIS) -Excellent numerical and analytical skills. -Awareness of crowd modelling packages and their applications is helpful but not required: Legion, Pathfinder, Mass Motion, Viswalk etc. or other modelling background such as traffic microsimulation
