Tasks

-Construction Observation and Coordination with Construction Contractors -Prepare roadway, grading, drainage, water, and sewer plans using AutoCAD and Civil 3D -Prepare fee proposals and track and manage project budgets and invoicing -Act as the point of contact for the Land Development group -Conduct regular meetings to ensure that project needs are balanced with staff availability -Produce project deliverables including technical memoranda, design plans and specifications, and technical reports -Maintain effective communications with clients and project teams -Hire local staff to support the market -Manage projects and client relationships -Prepare supporting calculations, cost estimates, construction specifications, and permitting in various jurisdictions -Administer quality assurance for project deliverables -Coordination with other Land Development staff companywide -Ensure that the staff resources are deployed in a productive and profitable manner -Lead the operations and production efforts -Lead the business development effort for Land Development market -Development of project work plan and scope of work

What You Bring

-Registration as a licensed Professional Engineer -Hydraulics and traffic experience is a plus -Excellent verbal and written communication skills with clients, staff, and management -Knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D, and other applicable software common to the field of Land Development -BS or MS in Civil Engineering -Ability and willingness to assist with interdisciplinary projects outside of Land Development -10+ years of professional experience in Land Development -Self-motivated, detail-oriented professional with strong organizational skills -Experience in Leadership, Business Development, Client Management, Project Management & Production -Possess a proven history of meeting project deadlines and budgets -Ability to guide junior staff as well as participate in the design and detailing of structural design projects
