The Role

Overview

Lead electrical engineering for water M&E projects from design to commissioning

Tasks

-Maintain high Health & Safety standards across all activity -Deliver water M&E projects including Pumping Stations, Dosing Systems, Chlorination Plants and associated civil structures -Lead negotiations with suppliers and subcontractors -Prepare subcontract orders and support variation claims -Support cost-to-complete / budget reviews with project delivery teams -Conduct early site investigation works with the client, design and project teams -Procure materials and manage supplier engagement -Liaise with Site Managers to ensure work is completed to programme, quality and budget -Lead electrical engineering activity from project inception to completion utilising in-house, installation and construction resources -Produce and review Health & Safety documentation (RAMS / Project Management Plans) -Attend and provide input into internal and client-facing design reviews -Champion innovation while maintaining compliance with relevant standards -Ensure accurate close-out of contractual documentation including As-Built drawings, O&M Manuals and Commissioning Manuals -Work closely with the design team to collate information, contribute to Hazard Studies and shape optimal solutions -Produce and manage project programmes -Attend and undertake FATs, SATs, commissioning and client training -Develop and maintain Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs)

What You Bring

-Proven experience within the Water Industry -Customer-focused with strong influencing and negotiation skills -Flexible, resilient and capable of building strong relationships at all levels -Competent with MS Office including MS Project -ICA and/or ATEX experience (desirable but not essential) -Electrical ONC/HNC/BEng or NVQ equivalent -Strong communicator across email, phone and face-to-face -Experience of leading and managing engineering workstreams
