Senior CNC Machine Operator

Overview

Operate XYZ CNC machines to produce precision components, conduct inspections and support production.

Tasks

-Perform routine maintenance and report machine faults -Conduct in-process inspections using precision measuring equipment -Support junior operators and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives -Read and interpret engineering drawings and CAD files -Maintain production records and ensure compliance with ISO standards -Work collaboratively with production, quality, and engineering teams -Set up and operate XYZ CNC machines to produce components to tight tolerances

What You Bring

-Ability to work independently and manage shift priorities -Familiarity with quality control procedures and inspection tools -NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or CNC Machining -Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills -Experience operating XYZ CNC Lathe. (XYZ Milling advantageous) -DSE Eye Tests -Apprenticeship in engineering (preferred but not essential) -Flexibility to work rotating shifts (days, nights, weekends) -Forklift or overhead crane licence (desirable) -Strong knowledge of CNC programming (G-code/FANUC/Siemens)
